Diving in the UK
Learning to dive in the Uk might not provide the exotic under water life as some further afield countries but the Uk does boast a number of dive sites that prove to be excellent training facilities and are a great way to practice your diving between travelling to dive sites
abroad.
The most popular dive site in the Uk is the midlands based Stoney Cove in Leicestershire. An old granite quarry win a maximum depth of 36 metres with an ever growing man made underwater world for divers to explore including busses, boats and even a helicopter. The quarry also contains cold water fish including the infamous large pike which if seen when diving generally become the night's talking point. With 3 levels to the quarry, one at 6-10 metres, one at 21 metres and the third at around 35 its the ideal spot for divers or all levels. There's even a dive shop and pub on site making it a very popular spot for scuba diving fanatics.
